A film about nostalgia for childhood fantasies.

Director's BIO

Born in Sofia in 1947, Vitko Boyanov was drawing ever since his childhood years and in 1962
received the UNESCO award for child’s painting at an intenational exhibition in Delhi, India.
After 1963 his caricatures were published in newspapers, he took part in a number of national and
international exhibitions, winning a series of awards.
After 1969 he worked as cartoon animator and art director and after 1979 - as director at the
Cartoon Animation Film Studios “Sofia”; for a nine-year perioid worked as an artist at a newspaper
as well.
Vitko Boyanov received a number of awards for his author’s works: Stop, look around, lend an ear
(Golden Nike – Thessaloniki), The Signal (honorable diplomas awarded in Annecy, Krakow, Lucca,
Valladolid), Believing in the kick (Annecy), Butterfly (Annecy, Gijon), Trumpet (Hamburg), Hello,
taxi (Beograde). Films that he animated for other directors also won awards at most reputable
worldwidie events – February in Zagreb and London, Hands-gloves in New York, En passant in
Krakow.
He is the author of the commercial video for the World Exhibition in Osaka – Japan.
In 1980 his most successful work, Stop, look around, lend an ear was included in the best film
progarmme of the festivals in Zagreb and Ottawa and was screened in the Quebec film llibrary, the
Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Institute of Arts in Chicago and Boston.
