Alexander Grozev

Professor Alexander Grozev is a film theory graduate; an author of numerous papers on the issues
of cinema and cartoon animation. Some of his publications are released in the UK, Germany,
Russia, the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, Ukraine, etc. He was invited as jury
member at a number of international film festivals.
Professor Grozev was an executive director of the National Film Centre, representative for Bulgaria
in the board under the MEDIA Programme and member of the management of the European Film
Promotion (EFP).
Working as lecturer at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” and at
the South-West University – “Neofit Rilski”, he has been a visiting professor in the USA, Poland,
Germany, Russia, Ukraine; author of 10 books in the field of film history and theory.
