Synopsis
When a young artist is killed in the Netherlands his mother travels to the last place he visited, a strange and magical work of art. Combining animation and real action, A Lighthouse In Breaking Waves tells the story of how, with the help of a gentle stranger, she comes to terms with her loss.
Director's BIO
Cheryl White is a multi-award winning scriptwriter, director and producer. After completing her Masters (Plays and Scripts) at City University in 2007, her final project ‘Petya’s Story’ was produced by STET The English Language Theatre as part of the Hague Festivals 2008. It subsequently travelled to the Rosemary Branch, London in 2009. She was shortlisted for the BBC Writers Academy in 2011 and has lived in Australia and the Netherlands. She currently lives in the UK and is in pre-production on her first feature film.
