Director's BIO
Robert Allen was born and raised in a small town in Yorkshire, England. He studied at the Universities of Leeds and York, eventually settling in York and establishing a career in IT. However, a long-held passion for film and animation, combined with a desire to avoid having a catastrophic mid-life crisis, eventually won him over to chasing his dream of becoming a film-maker, taking him across the North Sea to the Animation Workshop in Viborg.
Robert worked as a director and a production manager on short school projects before having the opportunity to direct the Bachelor film project “Whale Heart”, which he made in collaboration with ten of his classmates. He has begun work on developing story ideas for his next project and hopes to work as a stop-motion animator and model-maker while pursuing a career as a director.
